Russia by mackbutler3 Russia by mackbutler3
Took a break from my studying and my commissions to do a little fanart of Russia from Hetalia :)
I wanted to try out fringe layers but I wasn't about to go experimenting on people's commissions like that XD I used a reference image for the pose, of a Korean ullzzang I found on Tumblr. It's a great place to go to see poses ^-^ I can't draw without them yet -cry-

But yes, I'm a fan of Hetalia now, despite ages of resisting x_x And I adore Russia. He's too darn evil-cute for me to resist!!! I wish I did a better job making his cute round cheeks D: Next time!

Russia! So scary and adorable! :D Ooo...I like how you sorta outline the shadows...it gives it a really interesting effect.

Oh thanks!!! I was playing with the fringe layers on SAI and they give an outline to the things you color. It's fun :D
I love Hetalia so much right now D: Can I just have Russia and Germany UGH

I think I'm going to invest in SAI! :) It seems like a good program...although I feel like it will take me a while to learn it... You wouldn't happen to know if when you buy it for one computer if you have to buy it again for another, would you?

You can have Russia and Germany if I can have Japan and Canada. ;)

Maybe would could do a Hetalia art collab this summer!

I think it was well worth the money, although it took me a little while to get used to it since it is pretty different :) I don't believe you do. They emailed me an access code when I bought it so I would assume you can put it on the other. ^-^

Hahahha deal!!! And we totally should :D

I bought it, and I have to say that I'm pretty pleased with it. :) It's actually a little less detailed than PSP, which is cheaper, but it makes much cleaner lines, which was the main reason I wanted it...I feel a little helpless with its layer system though... I've got no idea how to work it. XD

Definitely! :) How's your summer going so far?

Yeah it's definitely made purely for drawing haha! My tablet doesn't work with PSP for some reason so I have no idea how that works with drawing x_x The layers took forever to figure out but I learned a lot from here idk if it helps: [link]

My summer has been pretty good so far:) How about you?

That's strange that it doesn't work with PSP! What kind of tablet do you have? And thanks for the tutorial! I'll be sure to check it out...it feels weird having to relearn all the basics for a new art program. XD The overlay and multiply tool are much handier in PSP, so I'm a bit clueless in SAI...

Pretty good! I've been drawing a lot, so that's always good. XD
